Changing the mode settings

You can change the mode settings to further enjoy the features and functions.

(1)While pressing PUSH OPEN, open the LCD panel. You will find the mode switches.

(2)Set the mode switches to the desired mode.

Selecting the mode setting of each item

COMMANDER <ON/OFF>

Set to ON when using the supplied Remote Commander for the camcorder.

Set to OFF when not using the Remote Commander.

BEEP <ON/OFF>

Set to ON so that beeps sound when you start/stop recording, etc.

Set to OFF when you do not want to hear the beep sound.

D ZOOM <ON/OFF>

Select ON to activate digital zooming.

Select OFF to not use the digital zoom. The camcorder goes back to 13x zoom.

REC MODE <SP/LP>

Select SP to record a tape in SP (standard play) mode.

Select LP to record a tape in LP (long play) mode.

LCD BACK LIGHT <BRIGHT/NORMAL>

Select BRIGHT to make the LCD screen brighter when shooting/playing back outdoors.

Normally select NORMAL. The battery life becomes about 10% longer than it is when you select BRIGHT.
