SHOOTING Viewing the Recorded Scene (Edit Search)

The recorded scene can be checked and the position for recording the next scene can be searched in the recording-standby mode.

The VTR mode is indicated as ED.FWD or ED.REV on the LCD screen and the viewfinder screen during edit search.

Enter the recording-standby mode

To advance the tape in forward direction.

1. Press the FWD button. Playback is performed at normal speed as long as the button is pressed down.

2. When the FWD button is released, the unit returns to the recording-standby mode.

To rewind the tape in reverse direction.

1. Press the REV button. Playback in reverse direction is performed at normal speed as long as the button is pressed down.

2. When the REV button is released, the unit returns to the recording-standby mode.

Memo:

When the recording speed mode (SP/LP) setting differs from the setting used for the part already recorded on the tape, the picture may be disturbed at the switching point.

When executing Edit Search on a DVM80 tape and the remaining amount of tape is 3 minutes or less, “INVALID OPERATION” is displayed in order to protect the tape and Edit Search does not function. “INVALID OPERATION” is displayed if Edit Search is attempted in the condition in which the remaining tape amount is not indicated.

During search, block noise may appear on the screen or the image may freeze.

Likewise, the SP/LP indication may not be displayed correctly.
