Colour night view

This allows you to record colour subjects in dark locations

to stand out against the background.

Minimum required illumination: approx. 2 lx

Attach this unit to a tripod, and you can record images free from vibration.

If it is difficult to focus, adjust the focus manually. (l 46)

Soft skin mode

This makes skin colours appear softer for a more attractive

appearance.

This is more effective if you record a person closely from the

torso up.

PRE-REC

This allows recording of the pictures and sound to start

[SD]

approximately 3 seconds before the recording start/stop

button is pressed.

[ PRE-REC] appears on the screen and the unit repeats the

update by recording motion pictures for about 3 seconds onto

the built-in memory and then deleting them.

Aim this unit at the subject and position it securely.

Press the recording start/stop button to start recording.

Images and audio are recorded for about 3 seconds before pressing the recording start/stop button.

There is no beep sound.

After recording starts, the PRE-REC setting is cancelled.

Face detection

When a subject is backlit and appears darker, this function

detects the face and automatically adjusts the brightness

and picture quality so that the face is recorded clearly.

In the face detection mode, detected faces appear with frames.

Up to 5 frames are indicated. Larger faces and faces nearer to

the centre of the screen take preference over others.

Faces that do not appear completely on the screen are not detected.

To display the face detection framing Select the menu. (l 21)

[ADVANCED] # [FACE FRAMING] # [ON]
