Conversion set for flat antenna BAS 60 / BAS 61

- Modification instructions -

Important notice!

The conversion set for BAS 60/BAS 61 enables you to convert your mobile flat

antenna to a stationary antenna. The use determination (purpose) of your

antenna will also change. After the rnodification has been effected, the antennas

are identical with the flat antennas BAS 62 or BAS 63. These are flat antennas for

stationary use. The instructions for the „Conversion set“ are complemented by the

12-page brochure „Mounting instructions“ supplied together with the flat antennas

BAS 62/BAS 63.

The rnounting instructions contain important information regarding the stationary

use, the installation, the mounting site and the safety of your flat antenna. lt is

absolutely necessary that you pay attention to these instructions.

Do not separate the modification instructions from the mounting instructions. In

case you sell the antenna, both instructions should be handed over to the new

owner.

Purpose

The conversion set must only be used for the modi- fication of the flat antennas BAS 60 and BAS 61. The conversion set changes the flat antenna BAS 60 to a BAS 62 and the flat antenna BAS 61 to a BAS 63 (see opposite illustration). After the modification, the mobile antennas BAS 60/BAS 61 are stationary anten- nas BAS 62/BAS 63.

Scope of the supply

The conversion set is composed of the preassembled antenna support and 4 washers (see illustration oppo- site). The modification instructions and the 12-page mounting instructions „Flat antennas for stationary use, BAS 62 and BAS 63“ are in the scope of supply of the conversion set.

BAS 61, BAS 60 specifications

The Kathrein BAS 60 and BAS 61 are advanced broadcast antennas designed to meet the demands of modern communication systems. These antennas are known for their high performance, reliability, and versatility, making them an ideal choice for various applications, including digital and analog broadcasting as well as mobile communication services.

One of the main features of the BAS 60 and BAS 61 antennas is their compact design. This makes them suitable for installation in urban environments where space is limited. The antennas are built with robust materials, ensuring durability and resistance to environmental factors such as wind, rain, and sun exposure. This durability translates into long service life, making them a cost-effective solution for broadcasters.

In terms of technology, both models utilize advanced RF design principles to achieve excellent gain and directivity. The antennas are designed to operate across a wide frequency range, allowing for flexibility in various transmission standards. The multi-band capabilities of the BAS 60 and BAS 61 make them particularly suitable for areas where multiple frequency bands are used, optimizing signal reception and transmission without the need for multiple antennas.

Another significant characteristic of these models is their ease of installation. The antennas come with comprehensive mounting options that allow for quick and efficient setup. Additionally, the configurations of the BAS 60 and BAS 61 support both horizontal and vertical polarization, catering to the diverse needs of broadcasters.

The noise figure of these antennas is exceptionally low, contributing to improved signal clarity and quality. This feature is especially important in crowded frequency environments where interference can degrade transmission quality. Furthermore, the antennas are finely tuned to maximize performance while minimizing unwanted emissions.

The Kathrein BAS 60 and BAS 61 antennas are also designed with user-friendliness in mind. They are compatible with various transmission equipment and can be easily integrated into existing systems. This compatibility allows broadcasters to upgrade or expand their systems without extensive modifications.

In conclusion, the Kathrein BAS 60 and BAS 61 antennas represent cutting-edge solutions for broadcasting needs, combining high performance, compact design, and ease of installation. Their versatile applications make them an invaluable asset for any transmission setup, ensuring reliable communication in today's dynamic broadcasting landscape.
