Setting the equalizer

Press the DEQ button <.

Select “DIGITAL EQ”using the

Select the equalizer “USER EQ1”, “USER EQ2”or “USER EQ3”,

which you would like to set by pressing the or the button :.

Select the filter using the or button :.

To select the frequency, press the

Set the level using the or but- ton :.

To select the next filter, first press the OK button ;, then the or button :.

When all the settings have been

selected, press the DEQ button

Selecting sound presets

Sound presets can also be selected for the following music styles

CLASSIC

POP

JAZZ

ROCK

TECHNO

SPEECH

Settings for these musical styles have already been programmed.

Press the DEQ button <.

Press the or button : repeat- edly until “SND PRESETS”ap- pears on the display.

Select the desired musical style by pressing the or button :.

Press the DEQ button < or OK

Setting the level indicator

The level indicator (spectrometer) on your display briefly indicates the volume, tone and equalizer settings with sym- bols on your display as you make the corresponding settings.

When settings are not being made, the spectrometer indicates the original lev- el of the car radio.

You can also set the type of spectro- meter on your menu.

There are two types available.

Selecting a spectrometer type

Press the MENU button 8. “MENU”appears on the display.

Press the button : repeatedly until “EQ DISPLAY”appears on the display.

Press the or button :, to se- lect between displaying “SPEC- TRUM 1”and “SPECTRUM 2”or “EQ DISP OFF”.

Press the MENU button 8 or OK ; once you have completed the setting.
