Playing an external component

When connecting an external component, you can select the component as the sound source.

Notes for KD-LX333:

For the external component connection, see the Installation/Connection Manual (separate volume).

If the input level of the external component connected to the LINE INPUT plug is not high enough, increase the input level properly. Without adjusting the input level, you may be surprised at a loud sound when you change the source from the external component to another. (See “To adjust the line input level –– LINE ADJ” on page 21.)

Notes for KD-LX111:

For connecting the external component, you need to use the Line Input Adaptor KS-U57 (not supplied). See the Installation/Connection Manual (separate volume).

Before operating the external component using the following procedure, select the external input correctly. (See “To select the external component to use –– EXT INPUT” on page 21.)

Using a subwoofer

This section is only for KD-LX333.

By connecting a subwoofer to the SUBWOOFER OUT plugs on the rear, you can enjoy enhanced bass sounds and a more realistic theater atmosphere in your car.

Refer also to the instructions supplied with your subwoofer.

When a subwoofer is connected to this unit, do the following as required.

To set the subwoofer cutoff frequency, see “To select the subwoofer cutoff frequency — WooferFreq” on page 21.
