2Installing on a Linux Server

13.Type a password for accessing WebAdmin Console administrative server functions, and then press Enter. This password is required to logon to the server as an administrator. If you are using the embedded database, you will use this same password.

Caution

The password must not contain quotation marks, commas, apostrophes, or more than one dollar sign.

14.For the Confirm Password field, type the password again, and then press Enter. The Company Information message appears.

15.Type your company name using only alphanumeric characters, and then press Enter.

16.Type your two letter country code in International Organization Standardization 3166 country code format, and then press Enter. To look up your country code, open a Web browser and type the following URL: http://www.iso.org/iso/english_country_names_and_code_elements.com

17.Type your external server name to which clients may have access from outside the firewall, and then press Enter. Use a fully qualified domain name format: servername.domain.suffix.

The Pre-Installation Summary message appears.

18.Press Enter to begin installing the software.

When the installer finishes processing the files, the Install Next Steps message appears.

19.Review the information and note the server address. This is the server address for launching and accessing Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite.

20.Press Enter.

When the installation completes, the Install Complete message appears.

21.Press Enter.

22.Open a Web browser and type http://<serveraddress>/admin to access WebAdmin Console.

Installing the Secure Gateway Server

Install the Secure Gateway application on each Secure Gateway server. The deployment size determines the number of Secure Gateway servers you need. Keep the status.html page open after the installation completes.

For information on installing and configuring the Secure Gateway server, refer to the Nokia Intellisync Secure Gateway Administrator’s Guide on the Nokia Support Web Site (http:// support.nokia.com) or through your system administrator.
