Short Text Messages

User Defined Message

Creating a User Defined Message

It is possible to create a user defined message which, once generated, can be used as any other pre-defined message.

From Idle mode press B 34. Edit the message as required and press B.

Selecting the User Defined Message

From Idle mode press B 33

The user defined message will be displayed at the top of the list of pre-defined messages.

Use a until the s prompt is adjacent to the message and press B.

Changing the Pre-defined Message Language

With the pre-defined message highlighted:

1Use f to select Lang in the option area and press B

2Use e to select a language and press B

3Use f until Select is displayed in the option area and press B twice to send the message

Manage Messages Lists

All messages, whether sent or received, will be stored on the SIM until they are deleted. Selecting a stored message allows it to be replied to, edited or deleted.

Receive List

Messages received will be stored in the Receive List. A blinking “•” indicates an unread message.

When reading a message the sender’s information is displayed below the text indicating the time the message was sent and the message centre number. Pressing B allows you to reply to the message.

Send List

When a message has been sent or edited it will be stored in the Send List.

Review

Review allows you to check usage of the message area.
