RING VOLUME

You can select one of these three ring volumes for the phone:

RINGING LOW — the ring is quiet.

RINGING HIGH — the ring is loud.

SILENT SERVICE — the phone does not ring. Instead, the keypad and display back- lights flash, CALL flashes on the display, and the phone sounds a short beep. This setting also turns off the phone’s keytones (even if the keytones feature is set to ON).

Follow these steps to set the ring volume.

1.Press . The phone displays the cur- rent setting (RINGING HIGH, RINGING LOW, or SILENT SERVICE).

2.Repeatedly press or to scroll through the other settings. The phone displays each setting and sounds the corresponding ring twice.

3.When you hear or see the setting you want to

use, press to select and store that set- ting.

Note: If you select SILENT SERVICE, the phone displays SILENT when there is no call in progress and when you are not using another function.
