To delete a contact

While you can't delete a Facebook contact on your phone, you can delete contacts from other services. When you do this, the contact will be deleted both from your phone and from the online service where it is stored.

Find a contact

Contacts on your phone can come from Facebook, services like Windows Live or Google, email accounts, or ones you’ve created from scratch. If you find that your contacts list is getting rather long, don’t fret—here are some tips to make life a little easier.

To jump to a letter of the alphabet

You can jump to a letter of the alphabet rather than scroll through your entire contacts list.

1On the Start screen, tap People .

2Flick to All, tap any letter of the alphabet, and then tap the desired letter to jump to that point in your contacts list.

Personal Information

To search your contacts list

If your contacts list is especially long, search is probably the best way to find something.

1On the Start screen, tap People .

2Tap Search , and then start typing someone’s name.

The list will filter as you type.

Me card

The Me card is your profile on your phone. It's also where you go to see your most recent Facebook and Windows Live posts, and to post something new.

On the Start screen, tap People , flick to All, and then tap your profile picture.

Or on the Start screen, tap Me.

Here are some things you can do on the Me card:

Post a new message to Facebook or Windows Live.

See and comment on posts to your Facebook Wall. All posts to your Facebook Wall appear on the Me card, including posts by your friends.
