This menu allows you to work on already saved messages. Processing is identical to that for a new message. Select the message by pressing the scrolling arrows.

6.5 Memory occupancy rate

MESSAGES/USE

Select a validity length for your message by pressing the arrow keys; this determines how long the messaging center will keep the message while attempting to forward it to the recipient (if this function is supported by the network).

This menu allows you to determine the memory occupancy rate. When no more space is available, the display reads MESSAGE FULL upon receiving a message.

6.6 Clearing short messages

MESSAGES/SEND/FORMATS

Choose the format of your message by pressing the arrow keys: text, fax, E-mail, voice msg, pager, X.400 or ERMES.

Attention

The network may support only one or other of these formats.

MESSAGES/CLEAR

This menu allows you to clear the short messages already read, in order to free-up memory space.

The phone will automatically return to text format after switching off

MESSAGES/SEND/MSG CENTRE

This menu allows you to enter the number of «your» messaging centre.

6.7 Information distribution

MESSAGES/CELL.INFO. (*)

This menu allows you to activate and select reception of information distributed by the network.
