Options during a call

The entries are displayed.

Searching for a name in Address Book

Enter the first letters of the name for Name Search. The entries are displayed starting with the first entry matching your input.

Finding a name manually in Address Book

Press the [Up] or [Down] scroll key.

Viewing the highlighted entry in

Address Book

Press the [o] key. (For further details, see 8. Address Book on page 74.)

Using DTMF tones

You can turn the DTMF key tones off or on during a call. When the [DTMF Off] option is selected, your phone does not transmit the key tones. It allows you to press keys without hearing any key tones during calls. To communicate with answering machines or computerized telephone systems, you must select the [DTMF On] option.

Reading or writing a message during a call

You can read or write a message during a phone call.

Press the [Options] Soft key.

Press the [Up] or [Down] scroll key to highlight the [Message] option then press the [o] key.

To read a received message, select the Inbox menu then scroll to the message that you want to read.

To write a new message, select the Write New menu then press the [o] key. (For further details, see Write New on page 44.)

NOTE During a call, you can only send text messages. Multimedia messages cannot be sent, but can be saved.

Retrieving Call in Headset/

Handsfree/Phone

This function becomes available when Bluetooth Headset/Handsfree are connected during a call. To talk using the Bluetooth Headset/Handsfree feature during a phone, select [Option] -> [Retrieve Headset] or [Retrieve Handsfree]. On the other hand, selecting [Option] -> [Retrieve Phone] allows you to talk using the phone again.
