Setting up voicemail

Before your phone can record voicemail messages, you must set up a password and record a personal greeting. When you have set up your voicemail, all unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.

(Check with your service provider for availability.)

1.From the home screen, press and hold . Note: If you are having trouble accessing your voicemail, contact your service provider.

2.Follow the system prompts to create a password and record a greeting.

Checking voicemail messages

When a voice message is received, your screen will display text similar to: “New Message 1 Voicemail,” and the phone may beep or vibrate (see “Setting voicemail alerts” on this page).

The text will remain on the screen for about five minutes or until you close the phone flip. After that,

the symbol appears at the top of your screen. The symbol flashes if the message is Urgent.

If you see “New Message” on your screen

1.Press to select Voice. This initiates a call to your voicemail number.

2.Follow the prompts to retrieve the message. For specific information on getting voicemail messages, contact your service provider.

If you see the symbol

1.Select Menu Messages.

2.Select your Voicemail box. A message tells you there is a new message at your voicemail number.

3.Press to select Call. This initiates a call to your voicemail number.

4.Follow the prompts to retrieve the message. For specific information on getting voicemail messages, contact your service provider.

Setting voicemail alerts

You can set an alert to beep or vibrate once or every five minutes after you have received a voicemail message.

1.Select Menu Messages Msg Settings Voicemail Alert.
