Retrieving a text message

When a text message is received, it is sent to your Text InBox and you are alerted by:

A note: “New Message: 1 Text”.

A symbol: , which flashes if the message is urgent.

If you see the New Message note

You can choose to:

View the messagePress .

Ignore the messagePress right and select Ignore.

Clear the screenPress .

If you see the symbol

1.Select Menu Messages Text InBox. A list of all your received messages appears. New, unread messages appear in bold.

indicates an “Urgent” message.

2.Press up or down to scroll through the list of messages.

3.Press to read a message.

4.If the message is long, press down to view the entire message.

5.When you are finished, select an option from the bottom of the screen:

Reply to the sender.

Erase the current message.

Save the message to your Filed folder.

Sender allows you to view the sender’s information. You can select an option to save it to the Contacts directory.

Forward the message.

Done returns you to the Text InBox.

6.Press to see information such as callback number, email address, or URL. (If a callback number is included with the message, press again to call the number.)

Erasing text messages

You have the option of erasing messages as you read them, erasing them one-at-a-time from the list in the Text InBox, or erasing them all at once. It is a good idea to erase old messages, as you have limited memory on your phone.

Erasing single messages

1. Select Menu Messages.
