Using Your VCR (Continued)

VCR PLUS+* Recording

Make sure the VCR has been set up for VCR Plus+ programming. See VCRÕs UserÕs Guide.

1.Press VCR1 on the remote to turn on the VCR, audio/video receiver, TV, and tune the TV to channel 91 (Input 1). This also sets the remote to control the VCR.

2. Press MENU PROGRAM on the remote to display the

VCR MAIN MENU.

3. Press 1 to display the VCR PLUS+ menu.

4. Press numbers on the remote to enter the PlusCode* number for the program you want to record. VCR PlusCode numbers are found in most local TV listings.

Press CLEAR on the remote to correct an entry.

5. Press MENU PROGRAM to enter the program.

If the VCR does not recognize the PlusCode number,

Unrecognized number... Please re-enter appears on the TV screen. Check the number and enter it again.

6. Press 1, 2, 3, or 4 to select type of program.

1One time Ñ single program recorded once.

2Daily Ñ program recorded at same time every day.

3Weekdays Ñ program recorded at same time Monday through Friday.

4Weekly Ñ program recorded at same time once a week.

7. Select recording speed using the SPEED button on the VCRÕs remote or VCR.

8. Optional: You may extend the recording time of VCR Plus+ programs. This option may be useful when recording programs such as sporting events that could go past scheduled broadcast times. To change the programÕs End Time, press CLEAR repeatedly to erase the program End Time, then enter the

new time.

9. Press MENU PROGRAM to enter your program. A reminder appears which will time out or you can press MENU PROGRAM to return to the VCR MAIN MENU.

PROGRAMS OVERLAP may appear on the screen if you entered two programs where the times overlap.

10. Repeat steps 2 – 9 for additional programs or press MENU PROGRAM to remove the menu from the TV screen.

11. Turn off the VCR before the recording is scheduled to begin. TIMER appears in the VCRÕs display panel when the timer has been programmed.

Stopping a VCR Plus+ Recording in Progress

1.Press VCR1 and then STOP within a few seconds on the remote or press POWER and then STOP within a few seconds on the VCR.
