Using the Keypad

You can use the Keypad lock feature to avoid unintentional pressing of

Lock Feature

keys. There are two ways to activate the keypad lock function:

 

In Standby, press and hold

.

 

Or, select Menu and go to Settings > Keypad > Key Lock.

 

Select OK to activate Key Lock.

 

To release the keypad lock, press and hold .

Using the Icons

The Wireless phone’s display uses different icons to inform you of various

 

capabilities, features, and calling status. These icons are described in

 

Table 5.

Table 5 3108 Wireless Telephone Display Icons

Icon Description

Signal Strength — Indicates the received wireless signal strength. The greater the number of bars, the stronger the signal

Message — Indicates when you have received new messages.

In Call / Call Forward — Appears when you are on a call/forwarding the call.

Network Encryption — Indicates when network encryption is set.

SIP Registered/ Not Registered — Indicates when you are registered/unregistered to SIP server.

Ring Mode — Appears for Silent, Ring, Vibrate, and Ring+Vibrate.

Alarm — Pops up when you set an alarm to ring at a specified time.

Battery Level — Indicates the level of the battery charge. The more bars you see, the more power you have remaining.
