Power

The PRO340XLis designed to operate with maximum 12 volt DC power. Power

I

can be supplied through 10 AA, 1.2 volt, rechargeable nickel-cadmium

batteries; 8 AA, 1.5 volt alkaline batteries;or through the supplied cigarette

 

lighter power cord when connected to a vehicle's12 volt negative ground power

 

system.

 

Installing Batteries

WARNING: Do not mix alkaline batteries with nickel-cadmium batteries.

Note: To insure circuit continuity, use the two battery spacers supplied.

1.Slide the cover off the back of the PRO340XL.

2. Insert 8 alkaline batteries into the battery compartment as shown.

Note: Be sure to insert each battery with the proper polarity, as marked in the battery compartment.
