2 Turn the JOG dial to the right for forward frame-by- frame playback, or to the left for reverse frame-by-frame playback.

OR

Press PAUSE repeatedly to advance one frame at a time.

OR

Press £repeatedly for forward frame-by-frame playback or ªrepeatedly for reverse frame-by-frame playback. (VHS deck only)

To resume normal playback, press PLAY.

High-Speed Search

ACTIVATE HIGH-SPEED SEARCH

1 During playback or still, turn the SHUTTLE ring to the right for forward high-speed search, or to the left for reverse high-speed search.

OR

During playback or still, press FF for forward high-speed search, or REW for reverse high-speed search.

The search speed is 7 times normal playback speed with SP recordings, and 21 times normal with EP recordings.

To resume normal playback, press PLAY.

NOTES:

For short searches, during playback or still, press and hold FF or REW. When released, normal playback resumes.

To use the JOG dial/SHUTTLE ring, first press the JOG/ SHUTTLE button on the remote control so that the button

lights up.

ATTENTION (VHS Deck Only)

Picture may not appear during high-speed search with an EP-recorded tape.

In the high-speed search, still, slow motion or frame by frame playback mode, the picture will be distorted, and there will be a loss of colour.

When normal playback resumes from search, still, slow motion or frame-by-frame playback, the picture may jitter vertically momentarily depending on the type of TV being used.
