1Press FM/AM to select the band.

Each time you press the button, the band alternates between FM and AM.

2 Press TUNING UP (FF/¢) or TUNING DOWN (4/REW) repeatedly until you find the frequency you want.

When you hold down the button, the frequency keeps changing. When you releases the button, tuning automati- cally stops at the next station of sufficient signal strength.

You can use the sound effect, if you want. See “Using the DSP Modes [DSP MODE]” on page 20.

Note:

When a station of sufficient signal strength is tuned in, the TUNED indicator lights up on the display window.

When an FM stereo program is received, the STEREO in- dicator also lights up.

On the unit, FM and AM can be selected by repeatedly pressing SOURCE. The frequency last tuned appears on the display window, but you cannot tune in to the other sta- tion using ¢ or 4 on the center unit.

Using preset tuning

Once a station is assigned to a channel number, the station can be quickly tuned. You can preset up to 30 FM and 15 AM stations.

To store the preset stations
