CAUTION: Make all connections before plugging the System into an AC power outlet.

Connecting the Speakers

For each speaker, connect one end of the speaker wire to the speaker terminals on the back of the System.

1.Open each of the terminals and insert the speaker wires firmly, then close the terminals.

2.Connect the red (+) and black (–) wires of the right side speaker to the red ( +) and black (–) terminals marked R on the System.

Connect the red (+) and black (–) wires of the left side speaker to the red ( +) and black (–) terminals marked L on the System. Note: Since both speakers are the same, you can put either one to the right or left side.

CAUTION: A TV may display irregular colors if located near the speakers. If this happens, set the speak- ers away from the TV.

Removing the speaker grilles

The speaker grilles can be removed.

When removing,

1.Insert your fingers at the top and pull towards you.

2.Also pull the bottom towards you.

Connecting External Equipment

Connect a signal cord (not supplied) between the System’s LINE IN (AUX1)/LINE OUT terminals and the output/input terminals of t he exter- nal MD recorder, tape deck, etc.

You can then listen to the external source through the System, or record the System’s CD player, MD player, or tuner to the external unit.
