Operating Your Dryer

The information in this section helps you learn to to pages 19 and 20 in the “Laundry Tips” section loading, and drying most types of washables.

NOTES:

l Before using your dryer, wipe the dryer drum with a damp cloth to remove dust from storing and shipping.

l Make sure your dryer is properly vented before using it. See “Checking Your Vent” on pages 6 and 7, and your Installation Instructions.

l Make sure your dryer is properly installed in a well-ventilated room where the tem- perature is above 7°C (45°F).

lMake sure your dryer is leveled on a floor that can support the weight.

Explosion Hazard

Never place items in the dryer that are dampened with gasoline or other flammable fluids.

No washer can completely remove oil.

Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of oil on it (including cooking oils).

Doing so can result in death, explosion, or fire.

Starting your dryer

1.Set Master Selector Switch on Dryer.

2.Load clothes into the drver and close

the door. -

3.Turn the Cycle Control Knob to the desired cycle and setting. Use the Energy Preferred Automatic Setting b) to dry most loads. See page 16 for descriptions of the cycles.

4.Push the Start Button.

NOTE: Your dryer stops automatically when a cycle ends.
