Rotate ON - OFF Volume Control clockwise.

3 Fully counterclockwise opens the “gate”and all signals enter.

Setting Squelch

Setting Squelch Squelch is the “control gate” for incoming signals.

Gate set to Desired Squelch Setting (DSS)

Gate closed

1 Turn volume up

2 Fully

clockwise

louder than normal.

incoming signals.

4To achieve the Desired Squelch Setting (DSS),

turn the Squelch control counterclockwise until you hear noise. Now turn the control

clockwise just until the noise stops. This is the DSS setting and only strong signals will en ter.
