Chapter 3. Playing Along with the Internal Songs

Playing Each Hand Separately

The internal songs allow you to select the performance part that will be played back.

The left-hand performance of the internal songs is assigned to the [1] button, while the right-hand performance is assigned to the [2] button. The place where each part of the performance is held is called a “track,” and the [1] and [2] buttons are called “track buttons.”

First select the song that you want to play back (p. 10).

Selecting the part that you yourself will play

1 Press the [1] or [2] button.

The indicator of the button you’ve pressed goes out, and the sound of the selected part will no longer be heard.

For example, if you want to practice the right hand, press button [2] and get its indicator to go dark.

When you play back the song, the right-hand performance will not sound.

Practice your right-hand performance along with the left-hand playback.

Playing back a song

2 Press the [Play] button.

The song will begin playing back.

The part you selected in step 1 will not sound.

Once again press the button you selected in step 1. The button’s indicator will light, and the sound will be heard once again.

Even while the song is playing, you can press the track buttons to mute or un-mute the sound.

Stopping the song

3 Press the [Play] button.

The song will stop.
