Connecting the Power Cord

* To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other devices, always turn down the volume, and turn off the power on all devices before making any connections.

1.Connect the supplied power cord to the AC

Inlet socket on the rear panel of the unit.

2.Plug the other end of the power cord into a wall outlet.

Opening and Closing the Lid

*Use both hands to open and close the lid.

Although the DP-1000’s lid is designed to close slowly even if you release your hands, it will slam down rapidly if you release the lid after it’s been only partially opened.

Opening the Lid

1.When opening the lid, grasp the lid with your hands and gently lift it upwards.

2.Fold down the blind, and fold out the music stand, as shown below.

Closing the Lid

1.When closing the lid, be sure to fold down the music stand, and fold out the blind.

2.When closing the lid, grasp the lid with your hands and gently lower it down.

*Make sure an adult is on hand to provide assistance when young children are playing the DP-1000.

*For safety, transport the keyboard only with the lid in the closed position. Do not grasp the lid when moving and installing the piano.

NOTE

When opening and closing the lid, be very careful not to catch your finger in the lid.
