Switching ANALOG/DIGITAL Signal Input

Set this switch to tell the receiver whether you’re using a component that is hooked up digitally or in an analog manner. If you have no components connected digitally the switch wonb’t allow you to select digital.

•When an LD or CD player compatible with DTS is played back with

SIGNAL SELECT SIGNAL SELECT set in “ANALOG”, digital noise is output caused by

playing back the DTS directly (no decoding). To prevent noise, you need to make digital connections (Refer to page 11) and set SIGNAL

SELECT to “DIGITAL”.

• Some DVD players don’t output DTS signals. For more details, refer to

the instruction manual supplied with your DVD player.

• Audio from a karaoke microphone and some LDs are analog so set the SIGNAL SELECT to “ANALOG” in these cases.

•For analog LDs and karaoke microphones, set the switch to “ANALOG.”
