ENGLISH

1. INPUT jack

Use a good quality guitar (screened) cable to plug your guitar in here.

2. Clean VOLUME control

When the OD Select switch is ‘out’, this control adjusts the volume of the Clean Channel. At low settings the sound will be very clean with a bell- like ring. Turning this control above half way will introduce a desirable, bluesy distortion as the power amplifier is driven into ‘crunch mode’.

3. OD (Overdrive) SELECT switch

Depressing the Overdrive Select Switch will engage the Overdrive Channel.

4. Overdrive GAIN control

Turning up the Overdrive Gain Control will increase the amount of distortion generated in the Overdrive channel. Low gain settings will produce classic rock and blues tones. Crank the Gain for fat and aggressive sounds that are perfect for soloing or hard rock and nu-metal riffs.

5. Overdrive VOLUME control

Amazingly enough, this control adjusts the volume of the Overdrive channel!

The louder this channel is set, the ‘looser’ the amplifier will sound and feel. This behaviour is exactly what a good all-valve amplifier does and is a result of our proprietary FDD circuitry.

6. CONTOUR control

This highly effective tone control works on both the Clean and Overdrive channels. By radically modifying the mid-range (body), the tone can range from traditional and woody sounding (setting at 10), to aggressive, ‘scooped’ and modern (setting at 0) and all points in-between.

7. CD IN & EMULATED LINE OUT jack

The MG10KK cleverly combines its Line Out and CD Input functions. If you want to jam to your favourite CD or tape, merely connect the headphone output of your CD or tape player here, adjust the player’s volume to match that of your guitar and ‘hey-presto’ – you've got the perfect ‘play-along’ practice system.

Alternatively, you can use this socket to connect the MG10KK to your multi-track recording machine and you'll get a great guitar sound direct to disk or tape.

HELPFUL HINT: for ‘silent’ recording merely plug an unconnected jack plug to the headphone socket and you’ll disconnect the MG10KK’s internal speaker.

8. EMULATED HEADPHONES jack

Plug your headphones here for a killer speaker emulated sound! Doing this mutes your MG10KK’s internal speaker for ‘silent’ practice.

9. POWER Switch & LED

The power switch turns your amplifier on and off. The LED will be lit when your amplifier is on and will not be lit when the amplifier is switched off.

Note: Before connecting to the mains electricity supply, always ensure that your electricity supply is compatible with your amplifier, as detailed on the rear panel.

Please ensure the amplifier is switched off and unplugged from the mains electricity supply before being moved.

MG10KK specifications

Marshall Amplification has long been a stalwart in the world of guitar amplification, synonymous with powerful sound and iconic designs. The Marshall MG10KK, a member of the MG series, is a compact, user-friendly practice amplifier designed for both beginners and experienced guitarists looking for convenient, portable sound options.

One of the standout features of the MG10KK is its impressive 10-watt output, which, while modest, is perfectly suited for bedroom practice or small jam sessions. The amplifier is equipped with a custom-designed 6.5-inch speaker, providing a well-rounded sound that encompasses the rich tones and harmonics guitarists expect from Marshall products.

The MG10KK features two channels: Clean and Overdrive. This dual-channel design allows players to switch between a clean sound and a more aggressive, distorted tone seamlessly, catering to various musical styles from classic rock to heavy metal. The Overdrive channel is particularly noteworthy, delivering a punchy gain that remains articulate even when pushed to higher levels, ensuring solos and riffs cut through the mix.

In terms of tone shaping, the MG10KK includes a 3-band EQ comprising bass, mid, and treble controls. This allows players to fine-tune their sound to match their style or the genre they are working with. The EQ is responsive, enabling users to create everything from lush, warm cleans to sharp, punchy overdrives with just a few adjustments.

A distinct characteristic of the MG10KK is its onboard digital effects, which include reverb, chorus, and delay. These effects enhance the sound, adding depth and dimension to the overall tone. The ability to incorporate effects without needing additional pedals makes it an attractive option for players seeking simplicity in their rig.

Portability is another key aspect of the MG10KK. With its lightweight design and compact size, it can easily be transported or stored, making it ideal for practice on the go. Additionally, the amplifier includes an auxiliary input, allowing users to connect their devices and jam along with their favorite tracks or backing tracks for practice.

Overall, the Marshall MG10KK represents a blend of classic Marshall tone and modern convenience. Whether you're a beginner honing your skills or an experienced musician seeking a reliable practice amp, the MG10KK delivers impressive sound quality, ease of use, and the legendary Marshall reliability. It embodies the essence of what makes Marshall a go-to choice for guitarists around the globe, ensuring that players can enjoy their music anywhere, any time.
