AnalogOutputs

1.Usingeither the single endedor balancedoutput on the SBP-64Xmakethe connectionsbetweentheprocessorandanyhighlevel inputonyourpreamplifier. Becertainto maintainL/Rconsistencybetweenthe cablesor youwill accidentally reverseyourstereo image.

Note:TheSBP-64Xoutputsshouldberun directly to a highlevel stageof your preampwithoutanyinputfiltering.

INITIAL POWERUP

1.Plug the powersupply ACcord into the wall socket. DONOTPLUGYOUR AMPLIFIERINYET!

2.Turnyourdigital source(CD/DAT/Satellite)"ON".

3.Turnthe powersupplyswitchto the "ON"(UP)position, andturn "ON"your digital signal source.Whetherit is CD/DATor Satellite is not important.The followingresults shouldoccurin this particularsequence:

A.Thethree ZEO'sdesignatingDigital,Analog,andDACpowerwillilluminate simultaneouslyThis.is yourassurancethat thefiveindividualpowersupplies are operatingandstable.

B. Aftera periodof 5 to 20 seconds,the DACswill stabilize andthe LED correspondingto the SamplingFrequencyof yourdigital sourcewill illuminate. Caution:Shouldyouhaveanymajordeviation fromthis sequence,do not attempt to play the unit. Disconnectit prior to poweringup anyother componentsattd contactyourKrell Digital dealer immediately.

4.Youmaynowconnectyouramplifierto the ACmainsandpowerup yourcompo- nents, rememberingthat the last componentto be energizedshouldbe your amplifier.

5.Withyourvolumeset low,switchthesourceselectorof yourpreampto theposition correlatingto yourchoseninputconnectionfor the SBP-64X(i.e. AUX,CO,DAT,...)

6.BeginplayingyourCompactDiskor DigitalAudioTape.

Note:WhileyourSBP-64Xwill performbeautifullyfromthe momentyouturn it on, it requiresa minimumwarmup periodof 8 hoursbeforeit will reachits full sonicpotential.
