Safety First, Painting Your Atrium Loudspeakers

SAFETY FIRST

When installing Atrium speakers be aware of the weight of your particular model (Atrium 45 powered = 8lbs/3.6kg, Atrium 45 passive = 6lbs/2.72kg) and the weight bearing tolerance of the material to which you are mounting the speaker. If you are not sure of a safe way of mounting your speakers please consult

a professional installer, your authorized Polk Audio dealer, or a building contractor. Do not compromise safety.

PAINTING YOUR ATRIUM

LOUDSPEAKERS

You will need:

•A spray can of primer paint

(Krylon Sandable Spray Primer #1318).

•A spray can of the paint of your choice .

•Masking tape.

•Paint masks (craft paper cut to size to cover driver baffle and amplifier).

•Du ruban-cache.

•Des cache-peinture (papier kraft taillé pour protéger les transducteurs et l’amplificateur).

PREPARING TO PAINT:

1.Separate the parts of the speaker. Remove the brackets and bracket knobs. Remove the grille by carefully pushing forward on the sides [figure 18].

2.Mask off the binding posts and amplifier heat sink on the back of the speaker [figure 19], and carefully mask the front of the speakers to protect the drivers and baffles while painting [figure 20].

PRÉPARATION :

1.Retirez d’abord les boutons des supports et dégagez l’enceinte. Puis retirez la grille de l’enceinte en appuyant délicatement sur ses bords [figure 18].

2.Masquez les bornes et les ailettes de refroidissement situées à l’arrière de l’enceinte [figure 19] puis masquez la surface avant des enceintes pour protéger les transducteurs et l’écran acoustique lors de l’application de la peinture [figure 20]. Mas- quez également la portion filetée des boutons et des écrous.

Push forward along the side of the grille to remove it.
