How should I store my Z-Chair and its batteries?

If you do not use your Z-Chair regularly, we recommend maintaining battery vitality by charging the batteries at least once per week.

If you do not plan on using your Z-Chair for an extended period, fully charge the batteries prior to storage. Disconnect the battery harnesses and store the Z-Chair in a warm, dry environment. Avoid temperature extremes, such as freezing and excessively hot conditions, and never attempt to charge a frozen battery. Acold or frozen battery should be warmed for several days prior to recharging.

What about public transportation?

AGM and Gel-Cell batteries are designed for application in travel chairs and other mobility vehicles. These batteries are FederalAviation Administration (FAA) approved, allowing safe transportation on aircraft, buses, and trains, as there is no danger of spillage or leakage. We suggest you contact the carrier’s ticket counter in advance to determine that carrier’s specific requirements.

What about shipping?

If you wish to use a freight company to ship your Z-Chair to your final destination, repack your Z-Chair in the original shipping container and ship the batteries in separate boxes.
