REPLACING THE BATTERIES

The LifeSource Ear Thermometer includes two 1.5-volt alkaline LR44 batteries already installed. Approximate battery life is 3,000 measurements. If the LOW

BATTERY mark appears on the display, or the thermometer does not function at all, immediately replace all the batteries with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries.

1. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screw holding the battery cover and remove the battery cover.

2. Replace the batteries with two new LR44 alkaline button batteries, taking care to place the negative and positive terminals correctly.

3. Re-install the battery cover and secure it with the screw.

CAUTION: ONLY REPLACE THE 1.5-VOLT LR44 BATTERIES.

USE OF OTHER TYPES OF BATTERIES MAY PRESENT A RISK OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION.

CAUTION: BATTERY MAY EXPLODE IF MISTREATED. DO NOT RECHARGE, DISASSEMBLE, HEAT ABOVE 100ºC (212ºF), OR INCINERATE. KEEP BATTERY OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
