How to take a temperature reading of an object:
Important: Do not measure obejcts or substance through a container. Aim the thermometer directly at the object/substance you want to measure.

4)Press and release “SCAN” button. Do not move thermometer until the temperature appears on display.*
5)Turn thermometer off by sliding cover into “off” position or thermometer will enter sleep mode after 1 minute. To
“wake” thermometer press SCAN button.
Note: to measure room temperature, stand in center of room. Follow steps
Note: Wait 5 seconds between readings.
The temperature range of this thermometer is 32° – 210.2°F (0° – 99°C). If a measurement is below this range, the thermometer will display “Lo.” If a measurement is above this range, the thermometer will display “Hi”.
If the operating or environmental temperature is not within the range, the thermometer will display “Err”.
*± 5% accuracy for readings in OBJECT MODE
