6. ASSEMBLY

6-9. Needle bar mechanism

Apply grease <GREASE BZL-301 (SA2694-001)> specified by Brother to the portions indicated by the white arrows.

Set so that this hole faces upward, and then push in gently while tightening the set screw to install.

Left-hand thread

Fit the chamfering side of the slide block into the groove on the slide block guide.

After securing the needle bar, position the slide block guide so that the machine pulley turns smoothly, and then tighten the bolts.

While gently pushing the needle bar crank in the shaft direction, align the set screw with the screw stop and then tighten the set screw.
