RF Radiation Exposure

To maintain compliance with the FCC's RF exposure guidelines, the internal antennas used for this mobile transmitter (USB base station) must provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons.

Base and handset must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

The handset has been evaluated and found to comply with the applicable RF exposure regulations in accordance with FCC CFR 47 Part 2., 1093 and 15.247

(b) (4) addressing RF exposure from radio frequency devices.

The base station and handset have been evaluated and found compliant in accordance with Industry Canada RSS-102 with respect to Canada’s Health Code 6 for Exposure of Humans to RF Fields.

The highest SAR level measured for this phone is as follows:

Max. Head SAR - 0.153 W/kg

Max. Body SAR - 0.172 W/kg

The recommended limits are based on recommendations from the World Health Organizations (WHO) International Committee on Non Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).

The Maximum allowable SAR as recommended by the ICNIRP limits is 2.0 W/kg based on 10 grams of tissue. However in the US, the recommended FCC limit is 1.6 W/kg based on 1 gram of tissue.

This phone has been tested and found compliant with the belt clip provided with the product. The use of other type accessories not provided with the product may not ensure compliance to the recommended RF exposure standards.
