Setting the Dialing Mode

1.Press OFF on the handset.

2.Press OK on the handset to display the categories.

3.Press 9 or 8 on the handset until SETUP MODE appears, then press OK.

4.Press 9 or 8 on the handset until SET DIAL TYPE appears, then press OK.

5.Press 9 or 8 to select DIAL TYPE TONE or DIAL TYPE PULSE.

6.Press OK and a tone sounds.

7.Press OFF to exit.

If you are unsure which type of service you have, once the bat- tery is charged, set SET DIAL TYPE to DIAL TYPE TONE, then press TALK/FLASH and listen for a dial tone. Press any number other than 0 and 1. If the dial tone stops, you have touch-tone service. Leave TONE/PULSE set to TONE.

If the dial tone continues, you have pulse service. Set SET DIAL TYPE to DIAL TYPE PULSE.

2.Press OK on the handset to display the categories.
