Page — lets you send a paging signal from the base to the handset to help locate a misplaced handset or page someone at the handset.

Touch Tone or Pulse (Rotary) Dial-

ing — lets you connect your phone to either type of service.

We recommend you record the phone’s serial number here. The num- ber is on the bottom of the base.

Important Caller ID

Information

To use the System’s Caller ID fea- tures, you must be in an area where Caller ID service is available and you must subscribe to that service.

Where Caller ID is offered, one or more of the following options are gen- erally available:

•Caller’s number only

•Caller’s name only

•Caller’s name and number

For the ET-545’s Caller ID memory dial feature to operate, you must re- ceive the caller’s number.

To be safe, you should also have a phone that does not require AC power to operate (not a cordless phone) so you can still make and receive calls if there is an AC power failure.
