Entering names

Use the keypad letters to enter names, e.g. to store TOM:

Press 8 once to enter T. Press 6 three times to enter O. Press 6 once to enter M.

Writing tips

Press 1 once to insert a space twice to insert number 1 three times for underscore four times for a hyphen

Available characters are displayed at the top of the screen.

Inserting numbers/characters Use button to move left and button to move right to insert characters or numbers.

Deleting numbers/characters

If you make a mistake, press to delete the last character or digit.

You can store up to 40 entries in the phonebook. Each entry contains a name and phone number. Names can be up to 8 characters long and numbers up to 20 digits.

Add a new phonebook entry

1.Press then to scroll to Ed. Phonebook. Press . Display shows Add Entry.

2.Press to display Name. Use the keypad to enter a name.

3.Press . Display shows Number. Enter the phone number and press . Display shows Stored. It’s best to enter the full number, including the area code (see ‘Caller Display ’on page 23).

4.Either press to enter another entry or press and hold

to return to standby.

Dial from the phonebook

1.Press to enter the phonebook.

2.Either, use and to scroll to the entry you want

and press to dial.

Or, search alphabetically by pressing the relevant key,

e.g. to find TOM, press and scroll through entries

under T, then press to dial.
