Many common problems are caused by the telephone and power cables being incorrectly connected, not connected at all, or the power being turned off.

Please check that your BT Lyric 1100 has been correctly set up, see page 6, before ringing the BT Lyric 1100 Helpline.

The batteries may be dead. Recharge or replace the

 

batteries.

 

 

Is the handset switched off? To switch the handset on,

 

see page 15.

 

 

 

No dial tone

Check that the telephone line cord is plugged into the

 

phone socket.

 

 

Check that the base is connected to the mains power

 

and switched on.

 

 

 

You cannot link up

Check that the base is connected to the mains power

with the base

and switched on.

 

 

Is the display showing a flashing

icon?

 

You may be out of range. Move the handset closer to

 

the base.

 

 

Are the batteries low or flat? If so, charge the batteries

 

or replace them if necessary.
