•When playing the message, press Pto stop playing.

•When playing the message, pressing Mwill delete it and the predefined message is played automatically.

8.4Answering Machine Settings

8.4.1Set the answer mode

1.Press Pand ,to select Answer Machine.

2.Press Pto select Answer Mode.

3.Press Pand ,to the answer mode you want. (3

options are available: Answer Off, Annc & Record and

Announce Only)

NOTE

Annc & Record invites your callers to leave a message. Announce Only lets callers hear your announcement but they cannot leave a message.

4.Press Pto save.

8.4.2Message alert on/off

If the message alert is turned on, the base will give a short alert beep at the speaker volume set, when there is a new message recorded on the answering machine.

2.Press Pand ,to select Message Alert.

3.Press Pand ,to turn on/off the message alert.

4.Press Pto save.

8.4.3Set the number of rings

1.Press Pand ,to select Answer Machine.

2.Press Pand ,to select Number of Rings.

3.Press Pand ,to select the number of rings. (4 options are available: Toll Saver, 2 Rings, 4 Rings and 6

Rings)

NOTE

If Toll Saver setting is selected, the answering machine will pick up after two rings if there are new messages, and after four rings if there are no messages.

4.Press Pto save.

8.4.4Record a memo

You can record a memo which is stored on your answering machine and played back like a normal message.

1.Press Pand ,to select Answer Machine.

2.Press Pand ,to select Record Memo.

3.Press Pto start recording.
