How Caller ID works

If you subscribe to Caller ID service provided by your local phone company, information about each caller will be displayed between the first and second ring.

OLD: reviewed call

Separate Caller ID logs are kept in the cordless hand- sets. Information about the last 30 incoming calls is stored in each call log. You can review the call log to find out who has called, return the call without dial- ing, or transfer the caller’s name and number into your phone directory.

Each incoming call is numbered. The most recent call is assigned the highest number. When the call log is full, the oldest call information is deleted to make room for new incoming call information.

If you answer a call before the information appears on the screen, it will not be saved in your call log.

NOTE: Caller ID features will work only if both you and the caller are in areas offering Caller ID service, and if both telephone companies use

compatible equipment.

NOTE: Each cordless handset's call log is independent of the other cordless handset's call log. For example, when you delete one or all call

log entries from one cordless handset, the information on all other cordless handset does not change.
