When the handset is within range of the base and not on a call or in Feature Setup mode,the screen displays

Handset Volume
You can adjust the volume of what you hear through the handset during a conversation by pressing VOLUME 
or VOLUME 
. While you adjust the volume level,the screen display is similar to
¥NOTE: You will hear 3 short beeps when you have reached the minimum or maximum le vels of volume.
