Status

The Status tab displays the detected settings of the Wireless LAN CF Card (Fig. 5).

Connected to - Displays the name of the

Wireless Access Point.

AP MAC Addr - Displays the MAC Address of your Wireless Access Point.

Mode – Displays the selected network mode (Infrastructure , Ad-Hoc, or 802.11 Ad-Hoc)

Channel - Displays the current channel that the

CompactWLAN is using

Configuration

The Configuration tab contains several adjustable parameters for the operation of the CompactWLAN. Click the Apply button to allow the changes take effect (Fig. 6)

Network Mode

The CompactWLAN can operate in 3 network modes. If you need to access a company network or Internet via an Access Point, select “Infrastructure ”. To set up a group of wireless stations for file and printer sharing, select “Ad-Hoc” or “802.11 Ad-Hoc” (without Access Point). If Ad-Hocis selected, you need

to set each wireless station to the same channel. For to the wireless stations.
