Charging the Internal Battery
Your unit comes with an internal lithium ion battery for portable operation. As noted above, the internal battery charges when the unit is connected to AC power. A battery status indicator is located to the right of the clock display. When the indicator is low and flashing, you will need to connect the unit to AC power to recharge the battery. When the indicator is full and steady (not flashing), the battery is fully charged.

Resetting the iD28
Your iD28 was designed with a special surge protection circuit to prevent permanent damage to the unit in the event of an unexpected power surge. If your unit appears to be ‘locked up’ and is not operating normally, and you know that the battery is properly charged, use a straightened paper clip, toothpick, or similar object to press the RESET button, located on the back panel next to the AC jack. This will unlock the unit and restore the original factory default settings.
