About the pause function

The unit automatically pauses when the microphone does not pick up any sound for 3 seconds or more. (The pause function does not work for approximately 10 seconds after a recording starts.) When the microphone picks up sound again, recording starts automatically.

Notes:

zWhile making a mic recording, do not connect any- thing to the OPTICAL/LINE IN jack on the portable MD.

zTo use a microphone, be sure it is a plug-in-power type microphone.

-When a plug-in-power type microphone is plugged in, the portable MD will provide power for the microphone's operation.

-If a different type of microphone is plugged in, it may not operate properly or it may cause the unit to malfunction.

zInsert the plug firmly. If you don't, the recording will not be made properly.

zUse a microphone with a 1/8" (3.5 mm) diameter stereo mini plug.

zIf the unit starts recording too often from low unwanted noises, set the microphone input to "MIC SYNC L".

zRecording sensitivity can be changed while recording.
