3.Connect the digital entertainer power cord and plug it into an outlet.

4.The LED on the front of the digital entertainer lights up to show that it is powered on.

5.Install the two AA batteries into the remote control that shipped with the product.

6.Use the remote control to turn on the television.

7.The television displays “Do you want to use the Viiv network setup?”

If you do not see this message, aim the remote control at the digital entertainer, and push TV mode. You can cycle through the TV modes to get the best display.

Windows XP Computer Without Intel® Viiv™ Technology

After you connect the digital entertainer, you complete the installation in the following order:

1.Use the NETGEAR CD to install the software. See “Installing Software” on page 1-8.

2.Set up the digital entertainer. See “Setting up the Digital Entertainer” on page 1-10.

Installing Software

Follow these steps to install the software on your Windows XP computer.

1.Power on your computer and log in as needed.

2.Insert the NETGEAR CD into the CD drive on the computer.
