You can use the LANGUAGE settings to select different languages for the Audio or Subtitles of DVDs, as well as languages for DVD Disc menus and the menus of the DVD Player SETUP menus of the DVD/VCR.

●Before you begin, place the DVD/VCR in DVD mode. Press OUTPUT SELECT so the red DVD light appears on the front of the DVD/VCR.

While playback is stopped, press DVD, then press
1 SETUP. The SETUP screen appears.

AUDIO: The DVD’s audio plays in the selected language, if available on the DVD.

SUBTITLE: DVD subtitles appear in the chosen language, if available on the DVD.

DISC MENU: A DVD’s Disc menu appears in the chosen language, if available on the DVD.

PLAYER MENU: The DVD Player’s SETUP menu appears in the select- ed language.

•Some DVDs only allow you to change audio, subtitle, or menu lan- guages in the DVD Disc menu. Details are on page 48.

•Language options for AUDIO, SUBTITLE, and DISC MENU are not available with some DVDs. Use the AUDIO and SUBTITLE buttons instead to select different languages. Details are on pages 55 (subtitles) and 58 (audio).

•The Player menu can be in English, French, or Spanish. If you acciden- tally get French or Spanish and need English, follow these steps.

1)Press DVD, then press SETUP.

2)Press the Number 1 button to select LANGUE or IDIOMA.

3)Press the Number 4 button to select MENU LECTEUR or MENU REPRODUC.

4)Press the Number 1 button to select ENGLISH. The menus will appear in English.

5)Press SETUP to remove the menus.
