GETTING STARTED

To connect to a computer:

1.Make sure the player is turned off.

2.Plug the small end of the USB adapter into the player’s USB port and plug the other end into your computer’s USB port.

It may take Windows several minutes to recognize and set up the device the first time it is connected depending on your hardware configuration

Your player will be detected as a “Removable Disk” when you open “My Computer”.

Transferring Music to Your Player

1.Connect the player to a computer.

2.Open the computer’s file browser (e.g., “Windows

Explorer” or “Finder”).

3.Select music files on your computer files. To transfer them, drag-and-drop the files onto the “Removable

Disk” icon that represents your player.

You may also transfer files from your player to a computer.

Do not disconnect the MP-C582 or otherwise interrupt the file transfer process. Doing so may corrupt your files and/or the player’s firmware.

Please refer to the documentation that came with your computer or operating system for more in- formation and support regarding file transfer and management over a USB connection.
