With the power switch in the off position and the AC adapter plug not connected,

 

refer to the instructions and illustrations below.

Locate the 10’ 15-pin to 15-pin interface cable, plug one end into the 15-pin CM-4 interface connector of the subwoofer’s amplifier located at the rear of the subwoofer unit and the other end to rear of the CM-4 control module. If you have chosen to mount the control module internal to a computer, than you must locate the 2’ 15- pin to 15-pin ribbon cable and refer to illustration I-2.

Using the supplied RCA speaker cable connect the left and right satellite speakers to the subwoofer amplifier’s output. The connection terminals are simple plug-in type, needing only to be concerned with connecting the Left output to the Left speaker and vice-versa. Refer to illustration I-1.

In the package please locate a, 4 feet, stereo 3.5mm plug to stereo 3.5mm plug audio cable. This cable is intended to be connected to a computer’s sound card, a portable CD player, or wherever a source with a 3.5mm jack is required. If another type of connector is required, your MidiLand dealer should have whatever adapter you may need. Using this cable, simply plug one end of the 3.5mm audio cable into the source’s output jack and connect the other end of the 3.5mm plugs into the amplifier’s input. Refer to illustration I-1.

Power is supplied to the S4 MidiLand™ 4060 via a supplied external AC adapter. The correct voltage adapter is supplied for the territory you purchased the unit in. First, make sure the on/off MidiLand logo, on the subwoofer’s front panel, is set to off which the logo is not “ILLUMINATED”. Second, connect the coaxial power plug into the labeled power receptacle on the rear of the subwoofer. Third, connect the country specific corded plug into an approved and properly functioning AC wall outlet. DO NOT use an extension cord or an overly crowded wall plate.
