Setting up your CD player
Connecting AC power
1Connect the provided AC power cord to the AC input socket on the CD player.
2Plug the cord into a household AC power socket.
Installing batteries
1Insert eight C alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment as indicated by the diagram within the compartment.
2Securely close the battery compartment cover.
Notes: Battery power is used only when AC power is disconnected. Replace all batteries at the same time with the same battery type. Do not mix battery types.
When CD player is stored unused for a long time, remove the batteries to prevent damage.

Setting the clock
1 Turn off your CD player, then press TIME SET. The hour digits flash. Set time under Standby mode.
2 Press or to adjust the hour, then press TIME SET. The minute digits flash.
3 Press or to adjust the minute, then press TIME SET. The clock is set.
4 To view the clock, turn on your CD player, then press DISPLAY.
NOTE: While the boombox is in standby mode running on battery power, your batteries will continue to slowly drain, although the clock’s time will be saved. To prevent battery drain, turn the boombox completely off by sliding the power switch (although your clock setting will be lost).
