SETTING THE TIMER

Set the timer to turn the unit on and off to the Tuner or CD mode at a preset time as follows:

With the power off, press the REPEAT/CLOCK button and then press the STOP ( )/TIME1 SET/ POWER OFF buttonwithin 5 seconds to enter the2 Timer ON setting mode; “TIMER” will appear and the hour will blink on the display.

TO ACTIVATE THE TIMER ON MODE, with the unit off, press the EQ/TIMER button; “TIMER” will appear in the display next to the current time. To cancel, press the EQ/TIMER button again; “TIMER” will disappear in the display.

NOTES:

• Before activating the timer, make sure the unit is in the Standby mode. Otherwise, there will not be sound when the Timer’s On time is reached.

• Before activating the timer, make sure there is a disc inside the CD compartment when waking to a CD,

or make sure a AM/FM station is tuned before turning off the unit. Otherwise, there will not be sound when the Timer’s On time is reached.

• When TIMER On time is reached, the unit will turn on for CD or Radio for 1 hour then turn off. If the CD disc total tracks is below 1 hour, then the unit will playback all the tracks on the CD and then stop.
