Radio

Turning on/off the Radio

Press the ON/OFF button on the top of the unit to turn on the radio. Press again to turn off the radio.

Switching bands

Slide the band switch on the top of the unit to select between AM and FM band.

Tuning to stations

Rotate the TUNING knob on the right of the unit to adjust the radio frequency with reference to the tuning dial scale.

Built-in AFC

The Built In Automatic Frequency Control (AFC) works only on FM. It helps to reduce drift on FM reception and keeps the radio locked in on the FM station to which it is tuned.

When tuning in FM stations, you may notice that the station you are tuning can be well-tuned on two or three nearby points on the dial. Always tune carefully at the loudest and clearest point.

AM antenna

A built-in ferrite rod antenna eliminates the need for an outside antenna for AM reception. Rotating the unit slightly may improve reception of distant AM stations.

Wake function

Setting wake time

1.Slide the / WAKE 1 / WAKE 2 / switch to select WAKE 1 or WAKE 2 setting mode.

2.Press or to set the wake time.

• Press and hold to decrease or increase the time value quickly.

• The “:” flashes on the display in wake time setting mode.

3.Slide the / WAKE 1 / WAKE 2 / switch back to .

Selecting wake source

Press WAKE 1 or WAKE 2

repeatedly to select a wake source (alarm / radio ).

A green indicator will light next to the corresponding wake setting icon when the wake source is selected.

Wake to alarm

When wake to alarm is selected, the green indicator will light next to the icon.

U-WAKE. The alarm volume will

increase gradually to its maximum

To set wake station:

1.Select radio band.

2.Select desired station.

3.Adjust the volume by + VOL .

Turning off alarm

To silence the alarm momentarily:

Press SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF or any one of the SmartSnoozeTM buttons ( / ). The alarm will sound again when the snooze period is over. (Read “SmartSnoozeTM”)

To stop the alarm completely:

Press ON/OFF. The alarm will activate again at the same time on the following day.

To disable the wake function completely:

You can activate the previously set alarm time by pressing the WAKE 1 MODE or WAKE 2 MODE button.

SmartSnoozeTM

This operation allows extra sleep time when the alarm sounds. The alarm can be turned off temporarily by pressing SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF or any one of the SmartSnoozeTM buttons until the snooze period is over.

SmartSnoozeTM buttons include: / / SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF.

Snooze function can be used repeatedly up to 2 hours. After this, the alarm will turn off until the next alarm conditions are met.

SmartSnoozeTM will be activated

only when the / WAKE 1 /

WAKE 2 / switch is set to .

To set the “quiet” period with Snooze:

1.

Press and hold SNOOZE/SLEEP

Sleep function

In sleep mode, the unit will turn off automatically after a specified time.

To set sleep time:

1.Press SLEEP. The time display will show “0:59” and the radio will turn on.

2.While holding SLEEP, press or to set the time for sleep mode.

The time range is from 1 minute to 2 hours. (The default time is 59 minutes.)

3.Release SLEEP and the display will revert to the current time.

You may select radio stations as usual in sleep mode. The radio will turn off when the preset time elapses.

To cancel the sleep function:

If you decide to turn off the radio sooner, press SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF or ON/OFF.

To view remaining time in sleep mode:

• Press SLEEP once.

USB charging

Use the USB charging port to charge your smartphone or to power usb powered devices such as a USB type lamp or fan.

If you are using a smartphone:

The unit can charge your smartphone if its jack for charging is a micro USB jack. If its jack for charging is not a micro USB jack, the unit may not be able to charge it.

If you are using an iPhone:

The unit can charge iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4G.

To connect your cell phone for charging:

Use a USB cable (not included) to connect your cell phone to the USB connector of the unit. Your cell phone should start charging.

• Charging function may not be supported for all phones or electronic devices.

Charging function is not available in AM mode.

Before charging your cell phone, please ensure the radio is connected to the supplied AC adapter.

To obtain repair or replacement within the terms of this Warranty, the product is to be delivered with proof of warranty coverage (e.g. dated bill of sale), specification of defect(s), transportation prepaid, to the Company at the address shown below.

This Warranty does not extend to the elimination of externally generated static or noise, to correction of antenna problems, loss/interruptions of broadcast or internet service, to costs incurred for installation, removal or reinstallation of product, to corruptions caused by computer viruses, spyware or other malware, to loss of media, files, data or content, or to damage to tapes, discs, removable memory devices or cards, speakers, accessories, computers, computer peripherals, other media

players, home networks or vehicle electrical systems.

This Warranty does not apply to any product or part thereof which, in the opinion of the Company, has suffered or been damaged through alteration, improper installation, mishandling, misuse, neglect, accident, or by removal or defacement of the factory serial number/bar code label(s). THE EXTENT OF THE COMPANY’S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT PROVIDED ABOVE AND, IN NO EVENT, SHALL THE COMPANY’S LIABILITY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY PURCHASER FOR THE PRODUCT.

This Warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties or liabilities. Recommendations before returning your product for a warranty claim:

Properly pack your unit. Include any remotes, memory cards, cables, etc. which were originally provided with the product. However DO NOT return any removable batteries, even if batteries were included with the original purchase. We recommend using the original carton and packing materials. Ship to the address shown below.

Note that product will be returned with factory default settings. Consumer will be responsible to restore any personal preference settings.
